Thanksgiving is right around the corner.
♨ Nothing is better than a nice family gathering. Everyone enjoys great food and laughing at the their uncle who always drink “a little bit” too much. Whether you are traveling or staying right at home Thanksgiving is a great excuse to spend some time with your loved ones. This year I will be down in New Orleans and I believe T is going to stay in South Carolina. We are excited for the break from our school work and a chance to gather some rest. If you haven’t thought about it yet its about time. Have a great fun Thanksgiving.

♢On the phone with home found out my mother is giving away one of the roosters back at the farm. Have a good weekend rooster. Enjoy your new life.
And for those of you who aren’t roosters, y’all have a good weekend as well.

Its chilly at night:
This is a great time to pull out a classic. A quilt is a great statement. Who knows your grandmother may have one up in the closet. Quilts come in all colors and patterns. They only get better with age. Stories follow the quilt. Crawl up with a book or enjoy one of the movies we’ve suggested. Whatever you do stay warm!

We’ve all been there, those of us who truly dislike socks. They are in the way and make you look like a tourist. Somehow each fall we all forget that it will get cold it will rain or in the off chance it might snow. So you need socks for your boots. I hate socks. well I like these socks. SmartWool is a throwback to good camping socks. As long as they are hidden in your boot your ok in my book. They will keep you warm and wick sweat away. They also aren’t offensive. So pick up a pair. Hide them in your closet. Then when its just miserable pull them out quickly slide them on and pretend it didn’t happen.

Winter’s Coming…
We still might be getting 60s-70s in Charleston, but our neighbors up North are recovering from some pretty intense snow. There’s no denying it….winter is on it’s way.
All that snow up north made me think of the snow in Charleston on Valentine’s Day of 2010. 6 inches on Charleston made for some beautiful pictures and let me make my first ever snowman in my front yard (bottom right).
So while it’s unlikely we’ll see anything more than cold rain this winter in Charleston, I plan to enjoy some time indoors next to my fireplace with my dog, some good movies, and a nice hot drink.
Happy Winter -T
PS: Winter in Charleston can mean ice or sleet so get your tires checked out and stay safe.
