A good smoke is a great leisure…
Many timeless icons enjoyed pipe smoking. Today it might not be seen as glamourous, but the occasional well rounded man can enjoy the act. Its a great experience unlike cigars or other tobaccos, its a smooth and contemplative smoke. When selecting a pipe don’t be tempted by the novelty corncob or a “great deal” make an investment. This pipe is for a lifetime. I inherited my collection from my late father. The pipe pictured is an italian crafted Jacono you can purchase one for $300.

Thanksgiving is right around the corner.
♨ Nothing is better than a nice family gathering. Everyone enjoys great food and laughing at the their uncle who always drink “a little bit” too much. Whether you are traveling or staying right at home Thanksgiving is a great excuse to spend some time with your loved ones. This year I will be down in New Orleans and I believe T is going to stay in South Carolina. We are excited for the break from our school work and a chance to gather some rest. If you haven’t thought about it yet its about time. Have a great fun Thanksgiving.

As we honor our veterans today, I wanted to share this story with you.
We’ve written a few articles on Mr. Jimmy Stewart and his movies, and both G and I have a lot of respect for him as an actor. Where Cary Grant was the smooth gent we all want to be, or John Wayne was the brave fighter we all wish we were, Jimmy Stewart more than any other actor actually portrayed the true American man. He could stutter and be awkward, but in his heart was love, truth, and honor.
Reading this story just gave me even more respect for this man. Even after he had won an Oscar for Philadelphia Story and earned a name for himself as an actor, he chose to enlist in the Air Force and fight in World War II. And he didn’t serve in one of those celebrity/rich kid locations we hear about today. He flew in more than 20 combat missions and earned a Flying Cross.
These pictures were taken when he returned home to Indiana after his tour to spend some time with his family. He told reporters that after his experience, he never wanted to make a war movie. He said maybe he’d make a nice family comedy or something. The next year he played George Bailey in a little movie called It’s a Wonderful Life.
How many actors these days would do this? What does that say about our culture today? Food for thought….
But anyway, we here give our sincere thanks to Jimmy Stewart and the many other heroes who have honorably served to preserve our freedom.
